What is CERT?

CERT stands for Community Emergency Response Team.  Our purpose is to assist in emergency survival situations.

What is CERT's objectives?

The objectives of the CERT Program are to establish and maintain terms of qualified and trained individuals who can exectute the following:

1.  Augment the local emergency services and emergency managment officals with trained individuals.

2.  Assist with victim triage and rescue.

3.  Assist with sheltering, mass feeding, and other support function staffing.

4.  Integrate operations with other CERT teams as directed by first responders.

5.  Provide communication capability with individual team members and coordinate communications with other CERT teams and professional first responders.

6.  Assist in organization of spontaneous volunteers in the event of a large scale emergency or disaster.
